Ethier Looks To Extend Streak - Dodgers Look For Series Win Against Cubs

Andre Ethier's hiting streak is starting to get national attention.  While watching yesterdays highlights (or lowlights), on ESPNews, they gave Ethier a few seconds of love.  They showed a graphic that compared Ethier's streak to other recent Dodger hitting streaks.  At 20-games Ethier is behind:

Paul Lo Duca 25-game streak in 2003
John Shelby 24-game streak in 1988
Brett Butler 23-game streak in 1991
Nomar Garciaparra 22-game streak in 2006

I'm sure this isn't the definitive list, it is just what ESPNews showed.  With a win today, the Dodgers can win this series against the Cubs and move back over .500.  Hiroki Kuroda will be on the mound looking for his third win as the Cubs send Carlos Zambrano to the mound.  Here is today's Dodger lineup:

Miles 2B
Blake 3B
Ethier RF
Kemp CF
Sands LF
Loney 1B
Barajas C
Carroll SS
Kuroda P

True to the Blue!
