Dodger Shut Down Matt Kemp

Mike Axisa of CBSSports Eye On Baseball is reporting that the Dodgers have shut down Matt Kemp "indefinitely" due to experiencing tightness in is right hamstring.

According to Axisa:

"Kemp, 28, is currently on the DL with an ankle sprain. He was expected to rejoin the team earlier this week, but his rehab assignment was extended because he didn't feel comfortable at the plate. In five rehab games with High Class-A Rancho Cucamonga, Kemp went 0-for-18 with seven strikeouts.
A hamstring problem cost Kemp more than two months last season, but that was on the left side. In addition to the hamstring and ankle injuries, he also spent time on the DL with a sore shoulder this summer. Kemp had surgery on the shoulder over the winter."
