On Saturday May 24, 2014, the OC Dugout and Honabach & Sons hosted a Fernando Valenzuela autograph signing. Fernando was scheduled to sign from 11am-12:30pm. I have a couple of Fernando autographs in my personal collection but wanted to attend this signing since inscriptions were available.
I arrived at about 10am and picked up my tickets at will call. After walking around the Frank and Son warehouse and picking up a few needed items, my nephew and I headed back over to the events center. We had VIP tickets but decided to get in line around 9:30 since the VIP line was filling up. At 10:00am, Fernando started signing and due to the way the line was set up, we ended up being first in line. Fernando was pretty cordial while signing. My nephew told Fernando he saw him pitch and the Old Timers Game and joked with Fernando that he still had "it". Fernando just laughed and said "it burned". Overall it was another great well organized signing put on by the OC Dugout and Honabach & Sons. Take a look below at what we got signed and some other pictures.
