"The Dodgers Are Still Alive" - Vin Scully

Both the Cardinals and Dodgers win.  The Cardinals maintain their two game lead over the Dodgers for the final wild card spot.  Trailing by two games with 3 to go the Dodgers are still alive.

Eric Gagne - Say What!?!?

Mark Saxon from ESPNLosAngeles.com posted some interesting tidbits from Eric Gagne's upcoming French-language book, titled "Game Over: The Story of Eric Gagne."  Check out a couple of short excerpts from the book.

On his use of Human Growth Hormone (HGH)

"It was sufficient to ruin my health, tarnish my reputation and throw a shadow over the extraordinary performances of my career."

Gagne admits to using human growth hormone over five cycles during a three-year period toward the end of his career.  While he doesn't provide names of specific Dodger teammates, Gagne does have this to say about his teammates:

"I was intimately aware of the clubhouse in which i lived.  I would say that 80 percent of the Dodgers players were consuming them."

I'm not shocked at Gagne's statement although i'm a little disappointed he decided to cast a cloud over the Dodger clubhouse during the mid 2000's.  It's no surprise to hear 80% of his teammates were allegedly using HGH, many players of the era were using it as it was not tested for.  In my opinion if you are going to make statements like this you might as well name names or just keep your mouth shut.  It will be interesting to see what other information Gagne's book includes when it is published.

Andre Ethier Game Worn MLB Cap

Pretty excited because I was able to score a game worn Andre Ethier cap in an MLB/Dodgers online Auction.  The cap was worn during the 2012 Civil Rights Game on August 18th.  The Dodgers beat the Braves 6-2.  Looking forward to receiving my cap in the mail real soon.  For now, take a look at what the cap looks like.

McFarlane Toys - Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw

As you can see in the picture above, Matt Kemp will be part of the McFarlane Toys MLB Series 31 which will be released in February 2013.  This will be Kemp's second McFarlane figure.  Also, Clayton Kershaw will be part of MLB Series 32.  Series 32 will likely be available in April 2013.

**UPDATED INFO 3/21/13**

It look likes Kemp didn't make the cut for McFarlane's MLB Series 31.  According to the official McFarlane website, Series 31 will include the following:

MLB 31 (May 2013)
Derek Jeter – New York Yankees
Clayton Kershaw – Los Angeles Dodgers
Bryce Harper – Washington Nationals
Mike Trout – Los Angeles Angels
Andrew McCutchen - Pittsburgh Pirates
Felix Hernandez – Seattle Mariners

As you can see, Clayton Kershaw's McFarlane debut will be part of Series 31 which will be released in May 2013.  Maybe Kemp's second McFarlane figure will show up in a later series.
